Happy Fall Y'all...

We are working at a fast pace in the computer lab!  You will see computer work combined with the ABC's all the way to working on computer-history biographies.  I do try to give the students at least 10 minutes of free game time.  They earn free game time by using the lab wisely, showing good manners, and doing their assignments.  Now and then students do find that they are without that free time...but they do try hard next time on earning it!

Library has received many new and gently used books that I have added to our circulation.  I do encourage the students to check out books during their library time at school.  Jr. High students only have Library time usually once per month.  Encourage you children to read...I would love to see more books checked out of our school library!
The fall Scholastic Book Fair will be here the week of November 12.  We will have the Book Fair open during parent/teacher conferences, before and after school, and on the weekend (Nov. 18 & 19).  Please stop by and have a look.  If you are interested in volunteering for any hours that week...let me know!

Cheerleading practice began today (Oct. 17).  Our first game is a home game on November 2.  We will be ordering cheer uniforms this week and are hoping that they will arrive before then.  I have our Cheer Schedule out and it should arrive home to you this week.

Bruin Drama Club...we are rehearsing our "Fractured Fairy Tales" during recess.  The actors are doing very well and have some extra time now to learn their lines.  The original date for our performance was November 16...it has now been moved to January 11, 2013...scheduling conflicts with other school and church activities arose and so Drama Club decided to change our performance date to make things easier.  I do hope everyone will attend our funny and wonderful performances!

Enjoy the fall season!
